 Local Attractions

Murwillumbah has an appeal to many people and those who like to visit towns "the way we were", with a mix of the old along with the modern. The town is still the centre for dairying, sugarcane and banana growing, and the famous Tweed Banana Festival, established in 1955, commemorates the agricultural strength of the region.

Murwillumbah offers a choice of fine restaurants and pubs. Coolangatta is only a 50 minute drive to the north, the Gold Coast, with its many attractions, is about 75km north and Brisbane is a 90 minute drive.
Every weekend there are colourful local Markets
within an easy drive from our home.

There are many quaint villages to discover all within an easy drive.

Mt Warning is a 20 minute drive from here, and the climb is well worth while. We are close to many National Parks - the Mebbin State Forest and The Natural Arch. Take a drive through the Border Ranges and have a picnic at The Pinnacle lookout
.

We are a 40 minute drive from the beautiful and uncrowded beaches of Fingal and Kingscliff. These include some leash-free dog exercising area.
